“Quality” creates the future, moving towards “new” development, Youfa Group successfully hosted the 2025 (2nd) Daqiuzhuang Forum

Yin Xuewu, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Jinghai District, Tianjin; Yang Chenguang, Deputy District Head of Jinghai District, Tianjin; Li Shengli, Vice Chairman of the Tianjin Jinghai District CPPCC and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Daqiu Zhuang Town, Tianjin; Wang Jingang, Director of the Raw Materials Division of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; Liu Kun, Town Head of Daqiu Zhuang Town, Jinghai District, Tianjin; Song Zhiping, President of the China Association of Listed Companies; Zhang Longqiang, Vice Secretary-General of China Iron and Steel Industry Association, Party Secretary and President of Information and Standardization Institute; Liu Yi, Executive Vice President of China Steel Structure Association; and other government leaders, industry scholars, association experts, scientific research institutions, pipe manufacturing enterprises, downstream users, and enterprise representatives, totaling more than 300 people, attended the meeting. The online live broadcast attracted nearly 40,000 views.

As the host of the forum, Yang Chenguang, Deputy District Head of Jinghai District, Tianjin, said in his speech that Jinghai District, as an important industrial base and a strong district for private economy in Tianjin, ranks among the top in the city in terms of the number of industrial enterprises above designated size and the scale of output value. Among them, the added value of the private economy accounts for as high as 66.7%. The steel industry, as a traditional advantageous industry in the region, has an annual processing capacity exceeding 38 million tons, an annual welded pipe output of 17 million tons, accounting for about one-third of the national total output, and owns Youfa Group and other top 500 Chinese enterprises. Leveraging the strategic opportunity of Daqiu Zhuang's inclusion in Tianjin Ziya Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jinghai District will fully utilize important international platforms such as the 2025 Summer Davos Forum and the SCO Summit to showcase the strength of China's steel pipe industry to the world. By improving the industrial chain collaborative innovation mechanism and gathering global high-quality resources, we will promote the transformation and upgrading of the region from a "China steel pipe industry base" to a "world steel pipe industry innovation highland."

As a steel pipe industry listed company from Daqiu Zhuang, Li Maozin, Chairman of Youfa Group, delivered a keynote report entitled "Competition and Cooperation Concept Guiding High-Quality Development of the Industry" at this forum, detailing to the attendees how Youfa Group, in the process of transforming and upgrading from a traditional manufacturer to a service provider, has opened up a new model of competition and cooperation in the steel pipe industry with the concept of mutual benefit and win-win results, promoting new practices for high-quality development of the industry.

Li Maozin said that Daqiu Zhuang is the earliest and largest welded steel pipe production base in China, known as the "China Welded Pipe Industry Base." The current main business is still metal processing manufacturing, mainly welded steel pipe manufacturing. This forum provides an opportunity for colleagues in the national pipe industry to gather in Tianjin and work together for development. He expects the Daqiu Zhuang Forum to continue to leverage its platform advantages, bringing together more wisdom and strength from the industry to contribute ideas and suggestions for the high-quality development of the steel pipe industry and help the industry open a new chapter.

Regarding the reasons for the negative growth of national welded pipe production, he emphasized: First, the overall market shrinkage and the growth of demand in the steel structure field; second, the continuous efforts of macroeconomic policies; and third, China remains the world's largest consumer market. Regarding new ideas for future industry development, he said that Youfa Group will adhere to its main business, insist on building brands with quality, and focus on management innovation, seeking future development through competition and cooperation.
