It is expected that the annual output of stainless steel crude steel will remain at 38 million tons to 38.5 million tons, an increase of 3.5 to 5%.

Subsequently, he analyzed the development advantages of China's stainless steel industry. From the perspective of stainless steel itself, stainless steel is not only a high value-added product in steel products, but also a "green steel" in the whole life cycle, which occupies an important position in the green low-carbon background and the high-quality development of the industry.

From the perspective of production scale, in the past 10 years, China's stainless steel industry has overcome various difficulties, and the output has increased from 21.69 million tons to 36.68 million tons, an increase of 69% (the same period of China's crude steel production increased by 24%). At present, China is the world's largest stainless steel producer and consumer, stainless steel production accounted for the proportion of global stainless steel production for a long time to maintain more than 55%, has become an important driving force for the development of global stainless steel. At the same time, the stainless steel industry is also an important part of China's steel industry, accounting for 3.16 percent of the total.

From the perspective of scientific research strength, China's stainless steel industry currently has many excellent entrepreneurs and a large number of scientific researchers who are good at innovation and dare to surpass, which has laid a solid foundation for the formation of new quality productivity of China's stainless steel industry.

From the perspective of application fields, while meeting the needs of domestic oil and gas transportation, chemical ship manufacturing, seawater and wastewater treatment, nuclear power construction, marine desulfurization and other fields, the stainless steel industry has actively developed international stainless steel chemical ships, oil pipelines, and submarine hoses., Bridges and other markets. In addition, as a functional material, stainless steel can meet people's demand for high-high quality and high-performance materials, and there is a trend of replacing other metals in many fields. The downstream application fields will be more diversified and extensive, and have broad development prospects.

"At present, the steel industry has entered a stage of reduction development. This change has accelerated the optimization of the structure of steel varieties, prompting the industry to cross the new cycle with structural adjustment, and to create synergies to enhance competitiveness." Zhang Zhifang pointed out that in the next step, the stainless steel industry should integrate innovation resources and gradually build an innovation ecosystem with collaborative interaction of various innovation subjects and efficient allocation of innovation elements, so as to strengthen collaborative research, form a joint force for tackling key problems, and break the barriers restricting collaborative innovation in the industrial chain.

He also specially reminded that at present, the stainless steel industry should firmly implement the principle of "three fixed and three don't", anchor the main tone of industry development of "innovation, green, strong foundation and self-discipline", consistently strengthen self-discipline to control production and inventory reduction, prevent "internal volume" vicious competition, and continue to develop and grow in the process of climbing over hurdles and overcoming difficulties.
